Science and technology KDP event

Throughout this presentation there were many new things to learn.
classtool.net has amazing tools for in classroom activities.

Padlet great tool for sharing ideas between the students. They can add whatever they want in reference to their lesson.
Ex:
Social bookmarking
del.icio.us
Diigo chrome extension
Scoopit
Begtheweb collect in bag your resources for a lesson.

Google form I was able to present to the class all i know about google drive it was so fun. Going through all the google forms that i'm so used to everyday was so exciting. It was nice to share the information with everyone who came to the program.

Kristen then did a kahoot with the whole class that she used earlier in field work. Kahoot's are so interactive and they save the information to make a chart for the teacher.

More examples of programs to use: prezi, voki, voicethread, thinglink, powtoon.

Voicethread: very good tool, and can even connect to other teachers throughout the world. I would never think to do that and it was very creative.

There are so many tools that you can use it seems almost impossible to know them all. Now, I'm excited to teach with technology. Knowing all these new techniques is so beneficial, and I'm so happy I'm learning all this new information.

Live binders: topics, lessons, unit plans, and you can adjust them to your own needs.

SMART board: smart exchange and smart express, vortex- i was able to talk about using vortex in field work earlier that day.
Magic pen was a great spotlight tool! If you do a circle it does a spotlight and you do a square it magnifies. Also if you want to write something the ink will disappear in a few seconds.

  1. Nicole,

I really enjoyed reading this blog post. I was not able to attend this KDP event, so I am glad you blogged about it so I can learn what was presented at it. I have not heard about some of these websites or pieces of technology, so it was interesting to read about them. Great job!
